🍂 Simple Fall Decor 🍂

Happy Hump Day, friends! Second blog post this week?! Who am I?! 😉 I cannot believe September is right around the corner, Saturday to be exact! I am SO excited especially since we are getting all the fall feels today. I am currently snuggled on the couch with my favorite blanket, coffee beside me, and a fall candle burning. Perfection! Here is to hoping we actually get fall weather this year because last year it went from hot to cold! Ugh!

Today's blog post is going to be different than what I have been doing. When I first started this blog, I did a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle post once a week and loved it! I am going to start doing more of this so get ready! Since fall is approaching us super fast, I had to share with you my "new" fireplace and how I kept my fall decor simple this year. I shared fall decor with ya'll last year and of course I had to do it again this year. Decorating and DIY projects are another passion of mine so I am excited to start sharing more of this with you!

If you watch my Instagram stories, you know last week I decided to say, "bye, bye" to my turquoise fireplace. Yes, I had a turquoise fireplace! When we bought this house, the people painted the brick, which ticked me off, a hideous brown color. It was awful! I wish it was the original brick but I didn't luck out with that one. I decided to be a little different and paint it turquoise, which I loved and still did but it was time for a change. I had left over milk paint from my bathroom vanity makeover, which I plan on sharing soon, so I just used that to paint the brick. It turned out awesome!

HERE IS THE TURQUOISE FIREPLACE

Once it was all dry, I decided to not put all of my decor back in it's place because I was itching to decorate for fall. I wasn't a fan of my old fall decor so I headed to one of my favorite places, Hobby Lobby! I LOVE their fall decor this year! I honestly didn't go overboard because I wanted to keep it simple. I left with a couple ceramic pumpkins, and faux squirrel that Lennox picked out and named, "Boo Boo," and the cutest sign that says, "Fall Sweet Fall." I then headed to another favorite spot of mine, Dollar Tree, and found these adorable faux pumpkin filler that I put in my demijohns and a couple small ceramic pumpkins that I put on my candle holders. If you have a Dollar Tree nearby, definitely check it out because what I got looks like something from Hobby Lobby but only a dollar!

That's it! Super simple but beautiful, at least to me! Remember when decorating a fireplace to keep it balanced. What I mean by this is have an "anchor" in the middle, which is usually your statement piece on your mantle. Then from there make sure you have balance on both sides of the anchor, like I have my antique books, candle holders, and demijohns. Last, just put in your "filler" which I did more antique books and my wooden beaded garland draped over. Super easy, right?! Anyone can do this!

If you don't have a Hobby Lobby nearby, I have linked very similar options above  what I used this year and then some. Happy Decorating, friends!

Target Try On Session // Episode 2

Hi dolls! Where did August go?! I have to say  think it is the busiest month for us for sure! That's why I have been so MIA on the blog lately. Last Thursday the boys started their first day of fifth and second grade! Like, what?! Can't believe it! It was also Grant (my middle child's) 7th birthday on Friday so we celebrated all weekend! He invited a few friends to Sky Zone and then had a sleepover after. They had a blast!

Now that the boys are back in school, I am planning on doing at least 2 blog posts a week. I have a content already planned and cannot wait to share with ya'll! Until I can get that content written, I have an awesome Target try on that I did on Saturday. Target is seriously hitting it out of the park with their fall line. I am loving everything and I think you will too!

FYI, I could not link every item because there were a few things not available online yet! GRR!! For reference my size is 25/0 in bottoms and XS/S in tops. Happy Shopping, friends! :)

My fav look from the try on session. This cardigan is the softest! Comes in blush and black, too! This entire outfit is under $50!

I want this top in every single color! So soft and comfy! Love this color for fall!

Ya'll these cardigans are not available online yet but I will definitely let you know when they are! These tanks are adorable and are $8 or two for $14! I would go up at least one or two sizes in the tank.

This cardigan is available and very cozy! Comes in other colors as well.  The tank is on sale for under $6!

This sweater pullover is everything! LOVE it! Definitely runs over-sized so size down one.

How adorbale is this "BE KIND" sweatshirt?! Love it! So soft and comfy!

Another cozy sweatshirt! Comes in other colors. Also, I love the wash of this denim!

I knew I had to get this graphic tee! Obsessed! Less than $13!

Love this dress! Very comfy and perfect for work! Can be tied or not tied.

Again, this skirt is not available online yet but I linked a similar one.

And again! This blazer is not available online yet but I linked a similar option.

Alright friends! That is it for this try on session. Ya'll really seem to love these so I will continue to do them. Reminder that you can shop online and pick up in store the same day. This ensures that I get credit for your purchase. It means more than you know when ya'll use my links! If you have any questions just DM me! :)

Old Navy Try On Session // Episode 1

Hi friends! Boy, have we  been so busy around our household and school is starting in 2.5 weeks! Though I am sad because we have had a great summer, I am a little happy inside because mama needs a break! Lol. We have already started our "back to school" shopping so we are ahead of the game! My 31st birthday is this Thursday and I cannot believe I will be 31! Seems like I just turned 21! I don't have big plans, just hanging with my boys and the introvert in me could not be happier!

Since ya'll loved my last try on session, I asked ya'll where you would like me to do a try on sesh at next. Old Navy was highly requested so that's where I went! Luckily, everything but one item is available online! YAS! I love Old Navy and so far their fall collection is awesome! I am going to stop chatting and get right to it! Oh, and please excuse me looking a hot mess! I had just stuffed my face with mac n cheese and boneless wings and my hair was just all over the place! For size reference, I am a 25/0 in bottoms and XS/S in tops.

This is by far my favorite look of my try on. This sweatshirt is sooo soft and cozy!

These suede jackets the softest jackets ever and amazing quality and this tank is amazing and so affordable!
(you click on the one jacket that is linked and it will take you to all three.)

These sweatshirts are the coziest and so cute!

I really loved this button up. It is the prettiest blush pink color. Promise it's cuter in person!

Adore this jacket! So perfect for fall!

These cardigan's are the cutest! The dress is not available online but I linked a similar one that comes in other colors!

It's hard to tell but this tee is SO cute! It has a ruffle sleeve and comes in others colors.

I love that this cardigan has fringe and is long enough to wear with leggings!

Alright ladies that is all I have for this try on session. I am going to try and do this more often since ya'll love them. It will be much easier once my boys are back in school. Let me know where you would like me to go next! :)

XOXO,
